A lost typeface since 1917, found in the River Thames..

They called it 'Doves Typeface' and it was thrown into the Thames in 1917, never to be seen again..until now.

Discovered by designer Robert Green, nearly a century later, the font 'The Doves Type' was commissioned as a bespoke typeface for the Doves Press, the London printing company, and was used in all of the Press’s publications. A lovely story on the face of it.
